Hollywood, an angel gone rogue
where nepotism is now in vogue,
run by stockholders with grins of greed
who always knows the powdery taste of speed,
but the radical imagination has fled to the east
to be free of these uninspired beasts.

Hollywood, a sold-out fever dream
and all that was left was a Ponzi scheme,
a delusional reality covered in smog
drowned in drugs to remedy a brain without fog,
the dream dead at their feet
as they’re surrounded by the men of Wall Street.

Hollywood, a bittersweet paradise lost
and souls are sold at a low cost,
the visionaries still march on
even though the fantasy is long gone,
the hallucination imprinted on the youth
but nothing could conceal the truth.
